Spending way too much $$

For at least 4 years Brad and I have been talking about how we are going to buy ourselves a flat screen TV. Yet, each year we have spent all our money on other items (home improvement projects). This year looked to be going in the same direction as all other years. After Thanksgiving we were going to go and buy one, but then I bought my new fireplace instead. Everything changed this morning.....

While Colton was watching TV the sound stoped working. He thought it was his fault because coincidentally he was messing with the channel changer when it happened. We have had the TV for over 9 years so it was not a big surprise that it decided to stop working. Anyone that knows my family (and especially me), know that we can not go one day without watching television. So, off we went for a day of Christmas shopping for the family and finding a new TV for ourselves.

Today was proof that advertising on the radio really works. I said to Brad "We should go to Video Only. They have the largest selection of the best rated models side by side so we can compare. And, they have the lowest prices." Yes, this is exactly what the commercial I have heard 100 times says. Turns out it is true. Wes at Video Only was very helpful. We walked out with our new 47" LCD flat screen, a new DVD player (Colton dropped our old one), and new Boise surround sound system. Now we just have to shell out a bunch more $ so that someone can install it over our fireplace and install the surround sound. Merry Christmas (for a few years) to us!
