Colton really wanted a bike with 2 wheels (and training wheels). He found the perfect one, a spider man bike, at Walmart. Brad said he needed to wait until his birthday (April 23rd). Colton did not want to wait that long. What kid would? So, in typical Brad fashion (strict), he told Colton that if he had enough money in his piggy bank he could buy it for himself. The bike was $59! I, being the more lenient one, told Colton that if he had $20, we would pay the rest. This morning we emptied out his piggy bank and he had $18. So, Colton spent hours with Brad in the yard earning an extra $2. They filled in the ditch that has been there for 2 years, they hauled tons of rocks to the back, and they raked the leaves.
Colton is very excited about his bike!
On the way to Walmart he asked if our money to pay our portion of the bike was in a piggy bank. I told Colton that Brad and I do not have a piggy bank. Colton said that he is going to get each of us one for our birthdays!
